|
This project is about the development of photos and the feelings behind them photography. We looked at this presentation where two photographers, Marie Smith and Tami Aftab talked about their photography projects. In this project we looked at Marie Smith and how she made her journey to her first series which is called whispering for help. while watching this video about Marie's journey I took notes and wrote a story line of the steps in witch she took to get to where she is today. She started of her story by wondering and questioning to herself about that photography really means to her. she also started by finding herself and taking time to look after herself so that she could move on with a more stable mindset to what she wanted to accomplish.

Tami Aftab
Tami Aftab's 'The Dog's In The Car' is a mission documenting her father's clinical circumstance which influences reminiscence (causes reminiscence loss). Across the video, she refers to her father as 'Dad', which provides even extra of a private contact to her work. The majority of her lookup used to be first-hand, such as publish it notes used in her family in order to remind her father what wishes to be achieved all through the day as he is unable to hold that records for an prolonged duration of time. Aftab started this challenge through in reality enlarging the submit it notes and showing them in public. This allowed a extra lighthearted point of view on the scientific sickness and allowed others to experience blissful laughing and appreciating his feel of humor.
Marie Smith
Marie Smith commenced her images experience via her personal self reflection and wondered the well being of female of shade and how conscious society is about this topic. Before assembly with different human beings to analyze about their experiences, she started her personal sequence in March 2019 named 'The fog has lifted slightly', the place she truly expresses her very own problems besides sugar coating the severity of them. A theme of nature is represented for the duration of her project, even as a feeling of vacancy and isolation is conveyed via the black and white images. This commenced her trip onto her greater generic project: 'Whispering for help'.
My Responses
Evaluation
After thinking about Marie Smiths way of taking a photograph I went of and took several photos, before doing this I spoke to the sitter, I was going to take the photo's of and like Marie did I spoke to the sitter about how they were feeling and how they wanted to be shown in these photos. To improve in this shoot I would take into consideration more of the rule of three.
The Photography gallery
I went to an exaction and took photos of other photographers work and the story behind what they did an why they did it . there were a range of different photographers to look at, from realism photography to having everything planed out to the fine definition as a pencil. when I was there I realized simply how special people's patterns are when it comes to taking photos. My non-public favored out of all the photographers had to have been Cao Fei barring a doubt.
My Portraits
Evaluation
For this project we had to take portraits of a sitter and before we do this we had to sit down with our sitters and ask them how they were feeling and how they would like to be portrayed in there portraits, for this I thought some of the photographs I took a couple of weeks ago really suit what the project was asking of me to do so I went back to the sitters in these photographs and asked them for permission. once I asked for there permission to use there portraits in this project I then asked them at the time of this photo shoot how were they feeling and then we had a desiccation and they thought the photos fit there mood very well. In conclusion I thought this project went really well.
